I’m a little scared, also nervous, but super excited to watch the match,” he said. Despite his confessed lack of expertise in tennis, Darbar showed his support for Novak Djokovic, one of the sport’s most decorated players. When asked about the similarities between tennis and dance, Darbar highlighted the importance of stamina in both fields. “Both require stamina. But in dancing, you hardly dance for a minute or something. But tennis is tough. You need a lot of stamina for this”, he explained. However, he also humorously noted that if asked, he would say dancing is tougher.Darbar’s appearance at Wimbledon is an example of his global appeal and the universal language of dance. His presence at the tournament also reflects the growing intersection of sports, entertainment, and digital media, with Darbar representing a new generation of influencers who are reshaping the entertainment landscape.

The choreographer also shared his thoughts with Sania Mira on the final match between Djokovic and the young Carlos Alcarez. “I really like someone who’s really young and trying and giving his best, because I was the one who started off young and I also got fame when I was really young, so I’m excited for him as well,” he said, showing his support for both players.

Darbar’s visit to Wimbledon marks a significant milestone in his career, bridging the gap between the worlds of dance and sport. His presence at the tournament not only brought a unique perspective to the event but also highlighted the universal appeal of performance, whether it’s on a dance floor or a tennis court.
