Bhubaneswar:BCAC organised Cycling Under the Stars 7th edition on 11.5.2024
Bhubaneswar Cycling and Adventure Club organized it’s flagship night event Cycling Under the Stars seventh edition.
The ride was flagged off by Sanjeeb Panda, Commissioner of Police and President BCAC and Sri Lalit Das DG HRPC from back side lane of Bhubaneswar Club.
More than 80 cyclists including ladies and students started the ride at 6 pm.
The riders will complete 170 km ride from 6 pm to 6 am riding through out the night.
The rider will reach Puri Srimandir by night passing through Ravi Talkies, Uttara,Pipli, Sakhigopal. From Puri the riders will take the marine drive in pitch dark night to reach Konark and from their they will come back to Bhubaneswar by morning through Pipli.
Safely is paramount while riding in the night in the highway. All the riders have put on helmet, reflective jacket, and have put front light and tail flickering lights for safety.
Through this ride BCAC wants to promote Cycling in the state with message “Cycle for fitness and good health “
Sanjeeb Panda Commissioner of Police appealed to citizens to start Cycling for good health.
BCAC organising this event every Year on second Saturday of May and it’s open to any Cycling enthusiast.
Santosh Rout, Sibasis Mohanty coordinated the event.
Earlier BCAC has organized mega rides like Manali Leh Khadung la in the Himalayas , Bhubaneswar to Bhutan,Cuttack To Kathmandu, Vietnam to Cambodia, Srilanka tour. BCAC also organises Golden Triangle Cycling Championship and Puri Beach Marathon every year.
