Er Pradipta Kumar Swain, CEO, WATCO, Govt of Odisha spoke about The challenge of getting the 24 by 7 water implementation needs to be addressed and it will be successful only by the combined efforts of political will , right technology and public participation. How these three come together, will ensure the same. The execution team also has a key role to play. He also emphasized on the fact that a third world war could be around cornering the dearth of water and we need to join hands together, to ensure that it doesn’t happen.

Ms D Thara, IAS, additional secretary, MoU, DHA, GoI quite elaborately spoke on how the entire country as a whole is working to have a 24 by 7 system implementation. Digitisation was a plausible suggestion put forth by her. Manufacturers need to integrate digitisation in their products, rather than focusing on a post production phase. She also shed light on the misconception of non revenue water – the term should rather mean those means and systems which have not been regularised. We need to increase availability of water to address this.
