Er Debashisha Hota alongwith his 20 Thousand Supporters are in Silent Protest at Dhenkanal Collectorate against 18 July attack by Goons in front of Kantabania IIC during demonstration at Company’s Main Gate against cheating of TATA Steel.
Dhenkanal (6/8) – Today at 10 AM Er Debashisha Hota alongwith his 20 Thousand Supporters reached at Dhenkanal Collector’s Office from Dakhinakali by a huge rally and then sit in Silent Protest against 18 July 2023 attack by Goons in front of Kantabania IIC during demonstration at Company’s Main Gate against cheating of TATA Steel.

Here noteworthy that, On 18 July at 3 PM in front of Kantabania IIC TATA Steel sponsored Goons attacked Trade Union Activists alongwith their Leader Er Hota who were in a peaceful Dharana in front of Company’s Main Gate against cheating of TATA Steel. A clear bloodshed was avoided due to immediate intervention of some local good people. Dhenkanal Collector & SP did not take any Action against the Responsible Authorities. Hence to organize Today’s dharana, Er Hota sought permission of Dhenkanal Town IIC through Dhenkanal Sub-Collector from 19 July.First Town IIC sent a Positive Report & then sent another negative report.

More than 7 hundred poor labourers could not get their retrenchment compensation till date who were illegally retrenched by one Labour Contractor TSPL before 7 years. Most interestingly, the notices sent from Industrial Tribunal to TSPL during 2019 returned back mentioning wrong address.At a Tri-party Meeting chaired by the then Dhenkanal Sub-collector at Kantabania Police Station before 3 & half years on last 27th January 2020 after labourers demonstration, TATA Steel’s Sri Dhananjay Kumar & 3 top officers hide the fact that TATA Steel is fighting any cases with TSPL in Delhi NCLT & Supreme Court during that time.

Whereas, now at a Tri-party Meeting chaired by Dhenkanal Collector Sri Saroj Kumar Sethy on 15th July 2023, TATA Steel’s top officers told that TATA Steel paid Rs 3 Crore to TSPL on 14th February 2020 by the order of Delhi NCLT & Supreme Court.

That means TATA Steel paid Rs 3 Crore to TSPL just after 19 days of the Tri-party Meeting during 2020. This proved TATA Steel is misguiding the Govtt & District Administration for last 3 & half years and torturing the poor labourers by hiding the facts.

Major Accidents are continuously happening inside TATA Steel like the recent one on 13th June 2023. TATA Steel is not taking any major step for the safety provisions of labourers.

Against these illegalities to organize 18 July dharana, Er Hota sought the permission of Kantabania IIC through Dhenkanal Sub-Collector on Saturday. Kantabania IIC sent a negative report sighting a false cause of Traffic Problem. Against this Undemocratic TATA Steel-Administration, labourers sit on Dharana alongwith Er Hota. No Traffic Problem aroused. The Labourers were adamant to Continue the Protest till Payment of their 7 Years back Dues.

I condemn this Goon-Administration to suppress the voice of labourers and today feel happy not to opt for IAS although I possess all the Talent of any IAS during my student career of 2001 and Paramatma motivated me towards Social Activism during that time. Because of this, today I could move to destroy the Goon-Administration openly, Er Hota told on this occasion.
