BJEM SCHOOL Observes the International Yoga Day 2024
Bhubaneswar: BJEM School celebrated the 10th International Yoga
Day on the theme “Yoga for Self and Society” with great enthusiasm
to raise awareness among students and public about the ancient
practice of spiritual prowess that yoga has brought to the world. Sri
Janardan Padhee, Dy. Superintendent of Police graced the occasion
as the Chief Guest and said that regular yoga practice leads to better
mental, physical and intellectual health. Attending the occasion as the
guest of honour, Sri Raghunath Mishra, the Chairman of the School
briefed about the essence of Yogic exercises on the health of
individuals. The Manager Mr. Pratap Kumar Jena opined that one
hour of yoga practice everyday brings together mind, body and breath
to produce perfect balance within us in today’s hasty lifestyle. The
Principal Ms. Sandhya Jena said that yoga is a physical, mental and
spiritual practice and it plays a vital role in relaxing the mind and body
and boosts the immune system. Yoga teacher of the school
Mrs. Pushpanjali Senapati held a live session with demonstration of
various Asanas in which about 200 students including the NCC
Cadets, Scout & Guide actively participated. The programme was
attended by Members of School Managing Committee, Vice Principal,
Mrs. Pallabi Mohapatra, Admin supervisors Mr. Barada Prasad
Paikaray, Mrs. Smita Mohanty and the teachers and staff members.
Mrs. Chanchala Saren, ANO of NCC (Girls wing) offered the vote of
thanks.
