Catholic Leadership appreciates inclusivity of Naveen Patnaik

Bhubaneswar:The Catholic Leadership of Odisha has expressed satisfaction over the empathetic governance of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in an upcoming book titled – ‘Towering Leadership: A Saga on Empathetic Governance’– which is authored by Prime Abhilas.

The Naveen Patnaik administration has taken the initiative of installing a statue of Mother Teresa at the ‘Saint Mother Teresa Road’, adjacent to the Catholic Diocese.

Expressing gratitude to Naveen Patnaik for this benevolent gesture, The Archbishop of Cuttack-Bhubaneswar, John Barwa, had said that, “Installation and dedication of the statue honouring revered Saint Mother Teresa has left an indelible mark on our hearts and minds. Chief Minister Patnaik Ji’s towering leadership & empathetic governance in spearheading this initiative reflects his deep-rooted commitment to uphold the values of inclusiveness, generosity, and solidarity in the society. The generous contribution of 78 lakh rupees to the Missionaries of Charities, during the challenging times of
FCRA cancellation during end of 2021 and Naveen Ji’s directive to district collectors to prioritize relief efforts reflected his compassionate leadership and dedication to serving the people of Odisha”.

Adv. Fr. Dibakar Parichha, the PRO of Catholic Archdiocese of Cuttack-Bhubaneswar has given his testimonial in the aforementioned book, authored by Prime Abhilas.

Fr. Dibya mentions in the book, ‘Towering Leadership’ that, “Patnaik’s secular image is characterized by his commitment to promoting religious tolerance and harmony in a state known for its cultural and religious diversity. His government has ensured that all communities, regardless of their religious backgrounds, are afforded equal rights and opportunities. This commitment to secularism has helped foster an environment where people from different faiths can coexist peacefully and participate fully in the state’s development”.

Fr. Mrutunjay Digal of Catholic Diocese also accentuates on the fact that several Catholics, like Dilip Tirkey, Rohit Joseph Tirkey, Binaya Toppo et al have been given the opportunity by Naveen Patnaik’s party, to serve the society as people’s representatives, in the upcoming elections.

The Prime Abhilas authored book ‘Towering Leadership: A Saga On Empathetic Governance’ explains how Naveen Patnaik has been taking up the cudgels for minorities & tribals, how he has been a friend in need to Missionaries of Charity, how the Naveen Patnaik administration has provided financial aid for the development of multiple minority religious institutions, and how the Odisha government has been crusading for recognition of tribal languages.
