Bhubaneswar- A national conference was held by the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) on the subject of ” Envisoning Viksit Odisha 2036″. ICC Chairman Rajiv S Sahu presided over the event and said that ICC is committed to building a developed Odisha. With the help of the Odisha Government, ICC will play a key role in developing Odisha by 2036 and making Odisha’s economy 1.5 trillion by 2047. Along with this, it will play a key role in India’s economic development, said Shri Sahoo. Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan joined as  the chief guest, said that there is no doubt that Odisha will be fully developed by 2036. We have already started the process of achieving success in all aspects like infrastructure, industry, agriculture. Starting from Godavarish Mishra Adarsh ​​Vidyalaya for development in the education sector, we are preparing a plan on how to bring excellence in higher education and technical education. We have a fixed goal. The target has been set for a USD 5 trillion economy by 2036. 2029 will play a major role in all this development. The government will take all the necessary steps in the field of foundation. Above all, I thank ICC for bringing together all the officials of banking services on one platform and laying the foundation for Odisha’s development. Our efforts are continuing to accelerate development by laying ring roads in 11 major cities of Odisha including Bhubaneswar. MP Bhartuhari Mahatab  joined as Guest of honor said that the Odisha government is doing a lot of development. He suggested how the Cuttack Charbatia Airbase can be a cargo dumping ground. Along with this, many things are hidden in Odisha. He expressed his views on how we can take it forward by forming a tax force.Nagaraju Maddirala, Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, said that Odisha’s economy is excellent. According to the data of NITI Aayog, Odisha is developing. There is potential for development in Odisha. Only progress is needed in banking services in Odisha. He said that the participation of heads of various banking services in this conference organized by ICC will bring more progress in the banking sector. Development Commissioner Anu Garg said that a plan has been made to increase the irrigation area by 15 lakh hectares in the next 5 years. There is an interest in increasing the number of tourists by 30 lakh. A target has been set for the preparation of clusters in various districts for urbanization development or development. For this, various projects are being carried out throughout Odisha. For a developed Odisha, four points have been emphasized. Prosperity or prosperity of the state, health and economy i.e. the goal of overall development. Prosperity will not only be in one district or city but in the entire state. Additional Secretary of the Department of Industries and MSME Hemant Sharma said that the economy of Odisha is driven by 20 percent agriculture, 40 percent industry and 40 percent service sector. If the dream of a developed Odisha by 2036 is to be realized, growth in the service sector and industry along with agriculture is required. Mineral base should be implemented in Odisha. This will create more jobs and lead to growth in the economy.
Principal Secretary of Power, Electronics and Technology Vishal Dev said that Odisha is currently making rapid progress in all sectors. He expressed his opinion that a prosperous and developed Odisha can be formed by 2036. Finally, ICC Vice President Nilanjana Mukherjee proposed the vote of thanks. On this occasion, heads of various major banks of the country and heads of various industries joined and expressed their views. Odisha ICC Regional Head J P Pal and other  members of ICC were present in this occasion.
